A graduate from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management, Mumbai, he began his career in Hoechst. Thereafter he has worked in Lakme, Vadilal Industries, Birla Sun Life and Prudential ICICI. He was also the Chief Executive of Gati.

He is an expert in marketing of financial instruments and is a regular speaker/visiting faculty at various management institutes across the country.

He has traveled extensively across Europe, Middle east, America, Australia and New Zealand on business.
