A graduate from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, he began his career with Hindustan Lever Ltd. At HLL he has worked in Foods, Soaps & Detergents and Agri-Business divisions of the company, across the country.

As an advertising professional he has specialised in brand planning. He has been a pioneer in CRM in the advertising industry, having started work in 1998 in this field.

He has been invited to speak at the Administrative Staff College of India, Hyderabad Central University, National Institute of Fashion Technology, Hyderabad Management Association, Costs and Chartered Accountants Conferences and various Rotary Clubs.
